1. acceptance of terms
by accessing and using resonance ("the service"), you agree to these terms & conditions. if you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. description of service
resonance is a free platform where users share personal memories associated with songs. the service allows you to submit text-based memories, react to others' memories with emojis, and view youtube video embeds related to songs.
3. user content
you retain ownership of any content you submit ("user content"). by submitting content, you grant resonance a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and redistribute your content on the platform and across our social media, marketing, and promotional channels.
user-submitted memories are anonymous and public. we reserve the right to remove content that is offensive, hateful, contains personal information about others, or violates these guidelines.
you agree not to submit content that:
- is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
- contains hate speech or discriminatory language
- infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- contains personal information of others without their consent
- is spam, advertising, or promotional material
- contains malicious links or code
- identifies other individuals without their consent
4. content moderation
we reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice. users may report content using the flag feature on each memory card. we review reports and take action as appropriate, which may include removing content or restricting access.
5. no account required
resonance does not require user accounts. submissions are anonymous by default, with an optional display name. because no accounts exist, submitted content cannot be edited or deleted by users after submission. to request content removal, please contact us.
6. user responsibilities
you agree not to:
- abuse or spam the service
- attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service
- submit automated or bot-generated content
- circumvent content moderation or reporting systems
7. intellectual property
moonpath.dev owns the brand, design, and code of resonance. you retain ownership of the text content you submit. song metadata, youtube embeds, and album artwork belong to their respective rights holders.
8. third-party services
resonance integrates with third-party services including youtube (video embeds and search), last.fm (music search), amazon (affiliate product links), and supabase (database). your use of these embedded services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
some links on this site are affiliate links. as an amazon associate, moonpath.dev earns from qualifying purchases. this does not affect the price you pay or the content we display.
by using resonance, you agree to be bound by the youtube terms of service.
9. disclaimer of warranties
the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. limitation of liability
to the fullest extent permitted by law, resonance and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
11. termination
we may suspend access or remove content from users who violate these terms.
12. governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of the state of washington, united states, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. changes to terms
we may update these terms from time to time. continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
